WEEK 2 POST 1:Social Media Platforms.
We all have our favorite social media app or apps. If I had to choose, my top choices would be Instagram and YouTube. On Instagram we our glamoured and fascinated by the lives and livelihood of other users. We enjoy scrolling through trending topics for entertainment and you can't have one over the other, especially if your excuse to be on social for personal use, is for business. In past discussions with friends who run a clothing brand business, he uses both of these social media platforms for personal and business as well.
If one of these had a better advantage for business it would be Instagram. Instagram holds several tools a business owner utilizes to market products and services, and also provide links to product/service details and company websites for purchases. With high competition on social media, a business perspective sees an opportunity to know their competition(s) current state. It keep businesses on their toes to forecast future marketing strategies for upcoming seasons. Business owners can also manage consumer interaction, with comments, videos and pictures; all in one marketing media tool.
YouTube and Instagram basically go hand in hand. When finding a certain video on Instagram, you are only exposed to a certain time frame or scene, if a link is provided, you click, and are connected to YouTube (most of the time), for the full video. The logos of these social media platforms are household names in your phone, you recognize them on billboards, business cards, flyers, websites, etc. They are great for personal use with social networking and business, with marketing features and tools to advertise its product and/service.
